Responsible AI & Governance
Using technology to strengthen our mission while keeping people, dignity, safety, and human judgment at the center.
Inspirational Hope, Inc. may use artificial intelligence to support administrative work, research, communications, grant development, program planning, transportation coordination, community-resource navigation, education, and other mission-related activities. We believe technology, when used responsibly, can help us serve more older adults more effectively.
AI supports our work. Humans remain responsible for decisions affecting the people we serve.
Our Responsible AI Commitments
The principles that guide how we use technology every day.
Human Oversight
Artificial intelligence may assist staff and leadership, but appropriate human review remains required for important decisions. AI must not independently make final decisions involving client eligibility, termination of services, safety, financial assistance, employment, transportation safety, medical matters, legal matters, or other high-impact decisions.
Privacy & Data Protection
Inspirational Hope, Inc. is committed to protecting client, donor, employee, volunteer, and organizational information. Sensitive or confidential information should not be entered into unauthorized AI systems. The organization uses data-minimization, privacy, and access-control principles when using technology.
Protection of Older Adults
Because we serve older adults, technology must support dignity, independence, accessibility, safety, and informed choice. Older adults should have reasonable access to human assistance when technology creates a barrier. AI should never replace meaningful human connection when human support is central to the service being provided.
Fairness & Nondiscrimination
AI-assisted processes must be used in ways that support fair and respectful treatment. The organization does not permit AI to be intentionally used to discriminate against individuals or unfairly restrict access to services.
Accuracy & Verification
AI-generated information is not automatically considered factual. Important information is reviewed and, when appropriate, verified using reliable or authoritative sources before it is relied upon.
Transparency
Inspirational Hope, Inc. will provide appropriate transparency when AI plays a meaningful role in client-facing services or public communications and failure to disclose that use could reasonably mislead someone.
Cybersecurity
AI systems must be used consistently with organizational cybersecurity practices. Passwords, credentials, sensitive records, and confidential information must be protected from unauthorized access or disclosure.
Human-Centered Technology
Technology should make it easier for people to receive support—not make people feel unseen, unheard, or excluded.
Inspirational Hope, Inc. uses technology to reduce unnecessary administrative burden so staff can spend more time supporting people, building relationships, and strengthening the community.
How We May Use AI
Please note: Use of AI does not remove the organization's responsibility for accuracy, privacy, safety, fairness, or compliance.
What We Do Not Allow
Selected Public AI Policies
A transparent summary of our public-facing AI policies. Internal security procedures, incident-response details, vendor-review details, risk scoring, and internal disciplinary procedures are not published publicly.
Our Commitment
Inspirational Hope, Inc. believes innovation should strengthen human connection, not replace it. We will continue evaluating how technology affects the people we serve and will update our governance practices as artificial intelligence evolves.
